Permian Basis Regional Planning Commission

PBRPC has obtained a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide training to certain cities and counties in their service region.

The classes are co-sponsored by the City of Big Spring and Midland College Williams Regional Technical Training Center.

The two classes to be provided are:

Illegal Dumping Enforcement
Big Spring on June 30, 2014

Orientation to Environmental Enforcement
Ft. Stockton on July 2, 2014


Employees and elected officials with the following cities and counties may attend this training for free, under the grant:

Mentone
Pyote

Sanderson

Counties:
Loving County
Terrell County
Crane County
Upton County
Glasscock County
Martin County
Borden County

When you register for the class, you'll be asked to indicate if you are from one of these "Grant Covered Governments." If you are, you will be charged no fee to participate.

Employees and elected officials from all other cities and counties may attend by paying the standard $75 fee. Payment may be made by credit/debit card at the time of registration or by check.

Each class provides 6 CEU hours through Department of State Health Services for code officers and registered sanitarians. Additionally, many police and fire agencies have approved this class for officer training. Peace officer credits are reported directly to TCOLE by the agency, based on information on the Certificate of Completion.
