1. Legislative update pertaining to substandard structures
2. Identifying substandard structures
3. Use of
Lis Pendens liens
4. Abatement process
5. Case preparation and presentation to BSC
6. How to move forward with properties where there is no owner

Mobile Home Enforcement Enforcement
3 Continuing Education Hours
Description
This half-day class covers the recommended focuses on the following:
1. Where we get the authority to abate them
2. Abatement process
3. Certificate of Attachment
4. Do I demolish or tow the unit?
5. Inspections
6. Remodel and additions

Who Should Attend These Classes
Local code enforcement officers and registered sanitarians; building officials and board members; community development directors; city attorneys; city and county staff and elected officials needing a good understanding of effective methods of dealing with substandard structures. This is an ideal class for both new and experienced municipal code enforcement officers as well as for municipal boards reviewing these properties.

Certifications
Three (3) hours code enforcement/RS continuing education credits will be awarded for successful completion of each class. For code enforcement officers, both classes include one hour in "Legal / Legislative Update Related to the Profession of Code Enforcement." Three (3) hours TCOLE credit for each class may be given at the discretion of participant's agency (Lesson Plan and Instructor Biography will be provided to Agency Training Officer upon request). Peace officers seeking to earn TCOLE credits for completion of Class 3880 should verify with their Training Officer that this class meets Agency requirements prior to registration.
